Welcome

We established Amor Bendall Wines in 1998, and produced our first vintage in 1999. The winery is owned and operated by partners Noel Amor and Alison Bendall.

Noel's winemaking skills are the culmination of more than 20 years experience in the Food Industry. He is qualified in food technology and process engineering, specializing in aseptic technology.

Noel is a food consultant to New Zealand and Australian companies, specialising in project feasibility, project design, and project management of turnkey food investments.

With his work Noel has traveled extensively throughout Europe, and in particular Italy where he gained much insight into oenology.

Two Locations - Wainui Beach, Gisborne, New Zealand

This "beach house" is the site of the original winery and is now used as an office for the winery administration, small dispatchs and local wines sales. Fermentation of the Reserve Chardonnay in French & American barrique's remains in the "yellow shed" alongside the tennis court. The site of the main winery & laboratory. Here we make the wine using Noel's food processing & engineering skills combined with electronic monitoring and control. This site will be expanded for the 2004 season to process 100 MT of grapes.
