Situated in North West Auckland, this vineyard experiences a maritime climate being directly on the Herald Cove shores.
Sea breezes and very low crop levels assist in producing ripe and healthy Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes from this site.

The soils are silty loams and relatively free draining although we have planted chicory in between the rows to ensure that superfluous water is not taken up by the vines given Auckland's higher than ideal rainfall. Harvest is generally mid to late March and Brix levels of 22-23 Brix are achieved.
