Feel like a fun day out? The Amazing Maze 'n' Maize is a pictorial maze in 10 acres of maize located at 122 Otakiri Road, Edgecumbe, 20 minutes from Whakatane, 50 minutes from Rotorua and Tauranga. See our website www.maze.co.nz to download a map - how to find us to get lost.
The maze pathways make pictures of our theme and change every season. It takes approx 45 minutes to complete the walk and don't be surprised if it takes much longer. From the viewing bridge in the middle you can orientate your trail or just watch your friends getting lost.
"Kernels of Knowledge" are placed throughout the day maze so you can make your walk into a competition - find answers to your quiz, picture searches. There are many ways to enjoy your stroll in the corn. Silly games (corn spitting), silly pets, silly people - lots of family fun - free BBQ's, swim in the pool, bring a picnic, try the 3D Vortex tunnel.
Fridays after dark. CornEvil - the R16 Horror Maze with 25 actors within the maze making your worst nightmares a reality. People can, and do, get very scared. Book your group for your pre-CornEvil "Last Supper" - private gazebo, BBQ, brazier and barrow load of firewood provided.
"Grimmer Scary Tales" especially for children of all ages and "brave parents" on the last Saturday night of each month. Featuring actors within the maze as fairy tale characters. Who will you find? Creeping Beauty? Ghoul-dilocks? Watch your favourite fairy tale movies on the big screen outside theatre after dark (compliments of Allen's 100% Whakatane) - or BYO DVD for us to show at your Moonlight Maze Birthday Party.

The Amazing Maze 'n' Maize is open 7 days (weather permitting) from 26th December to 1st May. Sunday through to Thursday from 10am to 6pm. Friday and Saturday from 10am to last entry at 10pm.
