The Cove takes pride of place on the northern shores of picturesque Lake Taupo. Hot mineral streams and fresh cool lake waters mingle, producing a magical mist at dawn and dusk. Views stretch across the lake to a troika of snow-capped, volcanic peaks - Mt Ruapehu, Mt Ngaruahoe and Mt Tongariro.

Each of The Cove's 12 suites features an individually controlled air-conditioned living room with Sky TV and video player, a bedroom complete with a super-king size bed (which can be reconfigured as comfortable twin beds), high speed internet access, an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower and a luxurious spa pool discreetly tucked away on a private balcony.
Studio rooms are more intimate and feature a queen-sized bed and ensuite bathroom.
All rooms include tea and coffee making facilities, writing desk with modem connection and Sky TV. Complimentary morning newspapers are delivered to each room.
Mid way between Auckland and Wellington, Taupo is the ideal place to make your base while taking day trips to Waitomo Caves, World Heritage Tongariro National Park, Rotorua or Hawkes Bay.
