It all started in 1953 when Sir William Hamilton invented the world renowned Hamilton Jet. Soon after, in the summer of 1960, Kawarau jet was born in Queenstown, becoming the world's first commercial Jet boat operation.
This being a huge success, it was decided that the same experience could and should be enjoyed by visitors to the North Island's cultural adventure capital Rotorua. The Rotorua operation is owned and operated by Shaun's brother and sister in law Ross & Fiona Kelly.
Our drivers go through a rigorous training programme with a nationally recognized LLO certification, awarded by Maritime New Zealand. Jetty and office staff members are fluent with every part of the business, individually capable of handling any situations and enquiries.
