Lewishams located on the "Streat" is a European style restaurant with all the charm of an authentic Gasthaus set in the Austrian Alps.

Chef/owner Peter was born in Graz Austria and had a classical culinary training in the art of fine cuisine. As Mozart made music at his piano so does Peter at his stove. Master Chef of the elite Chaine des Rotisseurs, an international gastronomic society, he has travelled extensively and worked as a Chef and Executive Chef in many fine hotels throughout the world.

Twenty years ago he decided to settle here bringing all his culinary expertise and international experience in the art of dining to Rotorua. Peter's devotion to his art shines through in his cooking with a mixture of styles of all the flavours of Europe and just the slightest touch of Pacific Rim.

At dinner you can feast on our all time favourite grilled scallops dressed in bacon with fresh tomato -basil sauce, mustard crusted rack of lamb, 450gm prime rib of beef topped with herb butter or pepper sauce or our famous traditional Weiner schnitzel.
