Sauvignon Blanc 2002 2002

Sauvignon Blanc 2002

                       2002

> Review this wine

02 Vintage: A season with a generous amount of precipitation allowed the canopies to grow and reach a size not often seen. With careful management, the resulting grapes were easily ripened by these large canopies allowing for harvesting to be smooth and the resulting wine full and balanced.

Vineyard: Situated on the famous Martinborough Terrace, rows are set out North/South facing with a gentle north facing slope giving a perfect viticultural aspect. All grapes are Estate grown on Scott Henry and VSP canopies, with irrigation on free draining alluvial soils.

Winemaking: Harvested in two seperate parcels at 21 Brix and 23 + Brix to give flavour and style of the Martinborough Terrace. Controlled temperature fermentation, retains fruit.

Winemakers Comments: Hand picked and cool fermented, this wine combines classic aromatics with complexity from contact with yeast lees. Cellar 1-3 years.

Alcohol: 13%
pH: 3.30
Total Acidity: 7.8g/L
Residual Sugar: <4g/L
