Soft, subtle and fragrant Pinot Noir. Oyster Bay Pinot Noir comes from 5 - 8 year old spur pruned vines, trellised with the canopy managed in a vertical shoot position. Hand tended leaf plucking and bunch thinning prior to veraison ensures balanced fruiting.
Handpicked bunches are de-stemmed directly into small open top fermenters and the juice is hand plunged in small open top fermenters. The wine is matured in French oak barriques with minimal racking and filtration prior to bottling.
Oyster Bay pinot Noir is elegant Marlborough at its best. Fragrant, soft, and flavourful with aromas of ripe cherries, plums and gentle sweet fruit tannins to provide serious structure and length.
