Winemakers notes
Fully botrytised grapes were hand harvested and pressed to tanks. After a long cold settling period, the juice was transferred to barrel for fermentation. The wine was then racked and blended with some dry Semillon to obtain the ideal balance between sweetness and alcohol percentage. The result is a soft sweet wine with good length and a residual sugar content of 145g/L.
Aroma
Ripe tangelo, grapefruit aromas and floral notes.
Palate
The palate is rounded and luscious with ripe flavours reminiscent of marmalade. Clean citrusy acid is balanced by honey sweet mango richness.
Food
To drink with cheese, fruit platters or light dessert dishes
Cellaring
This wine may be enjoyed now or cellared for up to four years from the vintage date.
