Grape variety:
100% Chardonnay. A mix of clone 6, clone 15 and Mendoza.
Region:
A blend of Gisborne and Waikato fruit.
Viticulture:
A mix of hand and machine picked grapes from vertical shoot positioned vines, which have been tended by hand.
Winemaking:
Barrel fermented in French and American barriques with 50% malolactic fermentation. A lighter oak Chardonnay showing ripe tropical fruit flavours. Drinking well now, will cellar 2-3 years.
Packaging:
Screw caps are a new feature this vintage.
