Chardonnay (Clone 15) 100%
Tasted: June 2003.
Colour: Clean clear pale yellow.
Nose: Citrus fruit melody, mingled with pear and melon, mineral undertones.
Palate: Clean fruit, citrus, delightful richness and depth of ripe chardonnay- no oak! Crisp acidity, structured mid-palette depth, mineral and fruit finish.
Great drinking for spring/summer, as a delightful aperitif wine or perfect with seafood - grilled lobster or sea bass. Especially good with pasta or vegetarian dishes such as tomato tart and Pacific Rim cuisine.
Winemaker's notes: Chablis-like, open and alluring after time in glass, classy, your taste buds clamour for more.
