Style
Grove Mill are distinctive wines - rich, full flavoured, complex, elegant and well balanced. Our grapes are harvested from carefully selected vineyards located in Marlborough's Wairau, Seventeen and Waihopai Valleys.
The different soil and micro climatic conditions of each of these vineyards provides a range of unique characteristics, individually capturing the delicious fruit intensity for which Marlborough is renowned. Grove Mill wines are excellent partners for fine cuisine.
Viticulture
Harvest dates: 7 April to16 April 2003
Brix at Harvest: Average 20 brix
Sites: Wairau Valley, Waihopai Valley & Seventeen Valleys, Marlborough
Yield: Averaging 2 tonne per acre
Vinification
The grapes for this wine come from selected Marlborough vineyard sites. Free run juice was cool fermented in stainless steel. The wine was tasted daily to determine the time to stop fermentation to retain the desired sugar to acid balance.
Made to be enjoyed with the complexities of several years bottle age, some will also enjoy this wine in its youth for its power and vitality.

Winemaker's Comments
Riesling is a classic grape variety renowned for making some of the world's finest and longest living wines. It is a fantastic variety for Marlborough and Grove Mill. Marlborough Rieslings have a range and combination of flavours unlike any others.
These flavours span citrus, root ginger, white peach, spices and florals.
Grove Mill's Rieslings aim for purity, fineness, clarity and texture, showcasing our Marlborough fruit. This wine is made in balance to an off dry style.

Deliciously drinkable on its own or with a wide range of cuisine.
An excellent match for Pacific Rim, Thai, Japanese and Singaporean cuisine. Enjoy with fresh salmon, crab, prawns, scallops and calamari. Partners well with chilli, mandarin infused oil and fresh ginger.
Cellaring
This Riesling is enjoyable now and will continue to improve with careful cellaring of up to six years.
