WINEMAKERS NOTES
An easy drinking style, showing a Burgundian style mineral quality with good length, texture and a hint of sweetness. Melon and citrus combine with a mealy complexity and the firm acid base also gives this wine ageing potential.
WINEMAKING INFORMATION
Super ripe hand picked fruit was whole bunch pressed and fermented. A residual sugar level of 5gms/litre was retained to enhance the tropical fruit characters. Stirring of the lees was undertaken, with a small amount of oak contact to create additional complexity & flavour profile with approximately 20% malolactic fermentation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The fifth vintage of the wine we originally said we'd never make! Thankfully, you persuaded us otherwise! Hugely popular and ideal as an aperitif or lunch wine.
